About

Meet the reds!

The Red Network is a revolutionary network of working class activists. We want to empower a new generation of working class people to fight for a revolution. We want to help working class people to give a lead - in our workplaces and in our communities. We can take down the establishment, put workers in the driving seat and build a socialist Ireland if we fight for it and if we argue for it every single day.

Our Philosophy

We understand that life is tough for all working class people - whether you're a blue collar worker on a precarious contract or a white collar worker slaving for a tech giant. Sometimes people know the system is wrong, but don't have the confidence to take on the powerful - whether that's by protesting or standing up in front of your workmates and arguing for action. We want to equip you with all the tools you need to give a lead. If you stand up, you will inspire others to stand up too. That's what makes us different. We believe you can change the world. We believe in your potential to be a leader.

There are many groups on the left who play down talk of revolution to get votes. There are others who talk about revolution but do no work in our estates. We avoid both pitfalls. We roll our sleeves up and fight on every issue that matters to working class people while at the same time pointing out that the establishment will roll back on any reform until workers are in the driving seat.

We Reds oppose all division between working class and oppressed people - racism and sexism are poison, used by the rich to divide our ranks and weaken any challenge to their power. We want a united people to come together and fight for James Connolly's vision of a 32 county socialist republic. It will take a people power revolution to get the change we need - like the water charges movement, with tens of thousands on the streets, but accompanied by mass strike actions. It's a long path to that goal - we know that. But there's no other way to escape from the endless cycle of inequality, crisis, corruption and cover up. We’re ready to put in the hard work to get there.
