EU Commissioners

New EU Commissioners - More Jobs For The Boys!

Taking a quick look at the line up of new commissioners for the EU, looking to see which position is the shitty end of the stick and which post is powerful and cushty. We should look at the make up of the candidates and why some get to where they are and did they get there based on talent and experience or rather they are thick as bricks but have powerful friends to back them up?

We must remember the so-called bastion of democracy is not very democratic, especially when you remember that on the Lisbon and Maastricht Treaties, a con job that authorised austerity and Thatcherite economic, they made us vote for it twice!

They being the “Irish Elite” who helped to remove our financial and political sovereignty so we ended up being vassals of the faceless European ruling class.

The joke here is we broke from being vassals of the British ruling class only to jump in with both feet to become vassals of a bunch of Thatcherites who are also genocidal warmongering racists.

The British were equally horrendous so we saw no difference, we should wonder, why people believe that the EU is as benign, while the opposite is true.

So, what are the challenges of this new Commission team under the second term of Von der Leyen, and why is it in trouble before it even starts, even more so than the previous EU team?

I won’t highlight them all, but one of the key planks for the existence of the EU was a stronger industrial sector and, in particular, the target for Europe to be a key chip producer on the global stage.

One of the key companies for the EU industrial strategy was Intel and its investment in multiple EU member states including Ireland. But unfortunately for Van der Leyen Intel has cancelled its €30 billion investment in Germany and €5 billion plants in Poland due to the inability of both countries to cough up over €10 billion in public money to sweeten the deal.

Whatever chip production that will be produced in Europe it will not be cutting edge and will mainly focus on chip components for cars, the new Finnish commissioner will have a few sleepless nights as Europe ends up being a market for tech products and not a producer.

Also, on the industrial side, 100s of the top European companies are departing from EU to America and China, where labour and energy costs are far cheaper. Across Europe, companies like Volkswagen are letting go of thousands of workers and shuttering their operations not only in Germany but across the continent.

Europe is no longer “competitive” and the lack of cheap energy, due to sanctions on Russian oil and the blowing up of the Nord Stream gas pipeline by Europe’s allies doesn’t help them. They’ve just caused the engine of European industry to collapse and there is continued deindustrialisatio - while at the same time the EU and in particular Germany fund genocide in Palestine and warmongering in the Ukraine.

The last commission team has led the EU down a sink hole, but for some reason, nobody wants to talk about it. But now that the cat is out of the bag, the coming disaster is now front and centre.

Instead of focusing on what workers European region actually require, the EU pursued a warmongering and sanctions strategy, that included even the sanctioning of China, neither in the interest of the people of Europe who up to now have been left in the dark of the true consequence of bad leadership in the EU over the last 5 to 10 years.

Bad leadership will continue as most of the new EU commissioners are rich, white, pro Zionist supporters of the expansion of the European military industrial complex, this is in fact so important that a MIC commissioner has been newly minted to convince the EU members to cough up more of their GDP to buy arms, whether they are in NATO or not.

One hopes that the pitch forks of the people of Europe will be sharpened, but a bumpy ride is certain, but perhaps things are not that perilous for the EU elite.

You can be dam sure that this EU commission does not represent you or me, but when you look at the commission post that Fianna Fails Michael McGrath has landed you cant help noticing that the Irish people will get little or nothing of benefit from the EU and that certainly Ireland does not feature in the plans of the European elite as McGrath got the post of Justice and will be responsible for GDPR and making sure that all the toilets in the EU parliament are well stocked with bog roll.

Commissioner McGrath could turn his post to challenge the political and illegal injustices that are being carried out across the EU such as the oppression by the Spanish Government on the community of the Catalonian people or the bogus trade agreements impacting workers across Europe or the legacy of austerity put upon Greece, Ireland and Portugal.

Also, McGrath could challenge the corruption inside the Commission itself and the involvement of outside lobbyists and influencers whose behaviour is anti-democratic and is, in fact, illegal as far as the EU laws and regulations are concerned.

But if McGrath did challenge the multitude of injustices across Europe, it would be impressive, which would be refreshing but unlikely, he would need more than one term and balls of steel to sort out a fraction of the inequality that persists, not just across Europe but also in Ireland, but, as his boss and his fellow commissioners are leaders of the EU corrupt fraternity of the elite, it would seem McGrath is a safe pair of hands and should acquaint himself to who are the best providers of bathroom products in Brussels are or just put his feet up, because nobody else wanted the role of Justice, so why the hell should he be bothered.

As for the people of Europe, no worker should be impressed with the team assembled to lead the EU over the coming years, at a time when real leadership is required. Change won’t come from these bureaucrats. We watch and wait.
